In case you haven’t heard, Kimmy Fasani is the latest addition to the Burton Global team. With a solid contest and park history, Kimmy has moved into the backcountry recently and continued her dominance by being the first woman to land a double backflip and her transition to full-time backcountry filming. We had a chance to get to know Kimmy a little better and ask her a ton of questions. A Bur-Ton of questions.

"On December 27th Kelly Clark and myself, Kimmy Fasani, pushed the panic button and made a last minute decision to go find winter. Kelly, who has won 12 consecutive halfpipe contests, would normally be committed to comps however with the shifting of schedules and lack of snow, she ended up with a 10 day window to make a powder trip happen. "When Kimmy Fasani was offered the chance to film full-time this season, that famous perma-smile might have widened just a touch, but she didn’t waste a minute. The truck was readied, the sled was loaded, and the dial pointed North in no time at all, leading the Mammoth local on a beeline towards Whistler, BC. But this wasn’t your normal crew she was about to join—this was Devun Walsh and Iikka Backström. For this installment of Personalities, we talk with Mammoth local and DC pro Kimmy Fasani. Kimmy has already been on fire this season, landing a double backflip on a 50 foot booter in the backcountry last week, during a trip that will be a feature story in the magazine this fall. Instead of giving herself props for landing the double, Kimmy was adamant about thanking the crew for supporting her and giving her the inspiration to try it. That's just the girl Kimmy is. She's sweet and sincere and will never pat herself on the back. Deciding to put contests aside for the year and focus on filming for Standard's TB20, Kimmy is soon headed to Whistler for a month to ride with fellow DC teammates Devun Walsh and Iikka Backstrom. Kimmy stays busy when she's not on the snow, planning her wedding in September to pro-skier Chris Benchetler, taking care of her pride and joy, little pup Reese and cooking when she's home. Growing up in Truckee, CA, Kimmy Fasani had nothing better to do than hang with the dudes and huck backflips. A few hundred backflips later and Kimmy had three USASA National titles under her belt, she’d been on Burton, she’d been dropped by Burton, and she’d been picked up by DC. After landing a section in the all-girl film Stance, this season Kimmy is competing in the Dew Tour, is about to give X Games a shot, and is officially filming with Standard Films. As she was trying to rest in the DC Mountain Lab, surrounded by boys watching porno, Yobeat decided to make things worse by asking one of snowboarding’s sweetest ladies the tough questions.
